All classes include savasana, a therapeutic relaxation state, at the end of practice.  Savasana may include quiet time with soft music, guided visualization or a more deeply relaxing and healing Yoga Nidra -- Yoga Sleep technique.  Savasana is a Sanskrit word with a direct translation of "corpse pose."  The stillness of Savanasa is achieved by lying on backs with arms upturned and angled away from the body, feet approximately two feet width apart.  Our physical yoga practice prepares us for this final relaxation where we move away from the distraction of extraneous thought and into a more meditative state of conscious awareness.
