Now located in an early 20th century 1-room schoolhouse, the high windows offer terrific natural light that blends beautifully with the loving vibes of the old schoolhouse. Live streaming was an idea at first, but as a yoga therapy studio, I really want to make sure everyone is practicing safely. That means I need to observe you throughout a practice. So, for now, no live streaming.
If the Universe is giving us time to rest and to be still, it is a gift. In times of rest and stillness we can restore, reboot and recover. In stillness we are blessed with the quiet in order to see, hear and acknowledge our inner thoughts and ancient wisdom. Maybe an original thought will evolve. It could be some seriously helpful and healthful guidance that you hadn't the time to consider in our mundane times.
Turn cable TV off now and then. Walk in nature. Breath fresh air. Take a run, ride your bike, climb a tree. Take your shoes off and put them in an icy stream. Reconnect with nature as you are a member of the natural world.
Recharge your energy body -- your Pranamaya Kosha.
Try a new recipe -- be creative -- take a chance -- and cook to feed your healthy body and enliven your senses. Sit for a long time and mindfully eat your meals. Slow your thoughts down. See if you can empty your mind. Ponder the Buddhist idea of an empty cup -- an empty cup, like a mind without extraneous thought -- can be filled. A cup that is full can not receive another drop. A mind that is full can not learn nor make new discoveries that help us live our greatest potential.
